Hosting a summer event or Christmas lunch? Here’s how to impress your guests and elevate those holiday food spreads. Hint: it’s all about the table styling!
A beautiful Christmas table style is a great way to welcome your guests, raise their spirits and showcase your holiday decorations. Here are our top two ways to set the scene and create a heartwarming atmosphere within your home.
Set The Scene. Start With Your Theme.
Table Style #1: Elegant & Traditional
Make your at-home entertaining extra special with a classic yet charming table display.
First, you’ll need to set your base with a simple white tablecloth – like one from Big W or Kmart – to make every other element and ornament pop!
Now, add a few colours that evoke the holiday spirit. Like a red satin table runner from Kmart, gold cutlery and napkin holders, white candles, foliage and green napkins. Sounds like a lot but you can shop all these items and more at Big W and Kmart.
And let’s not forget the fun part: decorative bon bons. They’re bound to make your Christmas event a cracking good time!
Table Style #2: Bright & Contemporary
There’s no better way to celebrate the vibrant nature of summer days than with a colourful, contemporary table style. So if you like – but don’t love – elegant and traditional styling, make a statement with this more modern display.
Pastel tinted tumblers and glassware are your friends here. Kmart has a great range at Bankstown Central. Then, when it comes to adding your bright pops of colour, you can’t go wrong with blues, pinks and yellows. Speaking of which, why not pair a bold lemon centerpiece with a blue taper candle set?
Don’t forget to add your own touch and a few playful elements, like two-toned wavy placemats – like the ones from Kmart – and some mini disco balls.

Et voilà!
You’ll find everything you need to bring these two table styles to life at Bankstown Central.
Merry Christmas and happy styling!
